Established in 2022 by Lisa Wilson, Pinoaks Park focuses on rehoming Off The Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs) into sport horse careers.

Originally from Scotland, Lisa brings over 16 years of experience in New Zealand’s Thoroughbred industry, including work with yearlings, racehorses, breeding, and stud work. Since immigrating, she has successfully rehomed 100’s of OTTBs — with 107 placed into new homes during the 2023/2024 season alone.

Pinoaks Park is located in Swannanoa, North Canterbury, where we’re fortunate to have access to and a range of high-quality off-site amenities nearby for training and outings.

After several years of rehoming Off The Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs), I recognised a growing need for ongoing support for their new owners. This aftercare and post-sale website was created out of my passion for ensuring these incredible athletes enjoy healthy, fulfilling lives beyond the racetrack. Through this dedicated platform, I aim to offer practical resources, expert guidance, and a supportive community to assist with the rehoming, retraining, and long-term care of OTTBs helping them thrive in new careers and loving homes.

I purchased Harvey (Enough Said) from Pinoaks. Harvey arrived 2 Sept 2023 after a big 2 day trip from Christchurch to Onewhero. I bought him sight unseen, went with my gut from the photos and video Lisa provided on his page. I explained to Lisa what I was looking for and she agreed Harvey would be a good fit after Pinoaks had done their due diligence to ensure he was ready to be rehomed. He had some time off and had a few mini breaks over the last year. We attended the NZTR clinic in Taupo with Donna and Elise July this year. I think he has finally stopped growing and now filling out. He has a great brain and is taking everything in his stride. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
