PinOaks Racing Park Retirement Form

Thank you for choosing PinOaks Park. This application is the first step in planning your Thoroughbred’s transition beyond racing. Once submitted, we’ll review your horse’s information and contact you to discuss the most appropriate next steps, including arranging a Transition Assessment where required. Consent & Declaration

As part of the incoming process, your horse will receive an initial veterinary assessment funded by the 1% Welfare Fund. This assessment helps determine whether the horse is suitable to enter the PinOaks Park Transition Programme.

Authority & Information

I confirm that the information provided is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and that I am the legal owner of the horse, or have authority from the legal owner(s), to make decisions regarding the horse and authorise the transfer of ownership.

Arrival, Assessment & Ownership

I understand that I am responsible for arranging and paying for transport of the horse to PinOaks Park. Ownership remains with the current owner(s) while the incoming assessment and veterinary assessment are completed. If PinOaks Park confirms that the horse is suitable and has been accepted into the Transition Programme, I agree that full ownership will automatically transfer to PinOaks Park without requiring any further form or signature from me.

Outcome & Agreement

I understand that PinOaks Park will contact me with the outcome of the assessment. If the horse is not suitable for acceptance, ownership will remain with the current owner(s) and PinOaks Park will discuss suitable pathways and any associated costs with me. I have read and agree to the PinOaks Park Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

PinOaks Park is New Zealand’s Thoroughbred Transition Centre, providing independent transition assessments, structured pathways and ongoing support to help every Thoroughbred succeed beyond racing.
